The beautiful Sveti Naum Monastery


We reached Lake Ohrid at 11:00, and decided to drive straight through to the Monastery Sveti Naum at the southern end of the lake, about one kilometer from the Albanian border. The Monastery, one of the most visited and significant religious sites in Macedonia, was very beautiful, with green gardens, peacocks walking around freely, and incredible views of the lake – with the mountains of Macedonia on one side and the mountains of Albania on the other.
