Grilled Trout and Sheep's Yoghurt with Honey

Ionatan, who works with me (Ellis) and lives in the apartment upstairs, joined us on our trip to the Rila Monastery. After our visit, we headed back down the mountain, stopping for lunch at a restaurant along the banks of the river.

Trout is a very popular, and cheap, Bulgarian fish, and the fish we ate came right out of the nearby river. Grilled and served with french fries and cheese, they were delicious.

For dessert, our waiter recommended one of the restaurant's specialties = sheep's yoghurt and honey. The yoghurt was thick, not sour at all, and topped with the locally produced honey, it was a dessert that will be remembered for some time. Fantastic!
